Baker Back to School Update

Welcome Back!

School starts in a few days and we are ready to welcome you back into Baker. Below are reminders that will help your first couple of days go smoothly.

On Wednesday, September 3rd all students will start the day in the BeeTime classroom. There will be staff in the halls to help you get to your BeeTime classroom.

Student Schedule Release

All students will receive a copy of their schedule during BeeTime on Wednesday, September 3rd. Due to construction there have been many room number changes for staff and students. The new schedules will have updated room numbers.

From September 3rd through September 5th scheduling changes will be made for students that are missing a class period in their schedule, missing lunch, or scheduled into the wrong core course. Late arrival and early dismissal requests will be accepted for seniors. Seniors are eligible for late arrival and early dismissal if they have 6.5 credits and a study hall 1st or 9th period.

Starting September 8th senior schedule changes and changes to meet graduation requirement will be addressed . Once those changes are made then Junior and Sophomore schedule changes will be addressed.
 

Morning Parent Drop Off & Morning Entry

Students are able to enter the building starting at 7:05am. All students (and visitors) will enter the building and follow through threat detection protocols.

  • Less is more! Remove (or do not send) unnecessary items that could trigger the system such as binders, key chains, glass cases, umbrellas, etc.
  • Have your Chromebook and water bottles out of your bag and in your hand as you enter the building.
  • Entrance to the buildings in the first few days may take more time until students get back into the routine.
  • Starting September 4th, all students must wear their ID badge while in the building, including when going through morning entry. ID Badges will be handed out in BeeTime on the first day of school.

Student drop is at the stop sign near to Entrance 15. To get to Entrance 15 you will need to drive up Albert Palmer, past Durgee Jr. HS, and drive/loop behind Elden. Staff will be outside to direct you. Students cannot be dropped off in the staff parking lot behind the school. Students that are dropped off will enter the building through the main entrance.

Early Dismissal September 5th -September 8th

In an effort to aid student dismissal on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, Thursday, September 4, 2025, and Friday, September 5, 2025 the Baker will be releasing students at 1:50pm.

Dismissal at 2:20pm will begin on September 8th, 2025.
 

Distraction Free Schools - No Cell Phones

All students are assigned and required to use their locker to store their cell phones and other personal electronic devices from bell to bell. Locker numbers and combinations can be found in SchoolTool. As stated in the BCSD electronic device policy students are prohibited from using their cell phone during the school day. This includes in the halls and during lunch.
